Where can we deliver to?

Orders can be delivered anywhere in mainland England, Wales, and most areas in the lowlands of Scotland. If you live outside these areas we then, unfortunately, cannot deliver our products to you. This includes the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland (IM, GY, JE, BT)

Like most online companies we rely on (3rd party) courier companies to deliver all our orders around the country. As much as we would love to get our products in the hands of as many people as possible the cost of getting our hutches to anyone who lives outside mainland England and Wales is prohibitive - sometimes more than the actual cost of the product!

Delivery to Scotland

We can deliver to most lowland areas in Scotland. These include the following postcodes: DD1-7 , DG , EH , FK1-6 , G , KA1-26 , KA29-30 , KY , ML , PA1-19 , PH1-2 , TD

If you live outside these areas then unfortunately, we are unable to offer delivery due to the high extra charges levied by the courier companies we use. You are welcome to arrange your own courier to collect from us, or we can deliver the items to a courier up north for onward journey to you.

Delivery to the Isle of Wight

The courier company that we use can deliver to the Isle of Wight. However, there is a delivery surcharge of £70 per order.

*This is an estimate based on the majority of orders sent, however, we cannot absolutely guarantee it.

What tools do I need to put this run together?

We recommend a pair of wire cutters for cutting the chicken wire and an adjustable spanner for tightening bolts. A hand-held drill and a suitable metal drill bit are needed if you intend to secure the extra screws that are provided.

Is the run fox-proof?

If the run is set up correctly and care is taken to double up on the zip ties that hold the chicken wire in place, especially on the lower areas, then a fox will have a really hard time trying to get in.

We would recommend that you leave a bit of excess wire at ground level to create a small wire skirt around the perimeter and for extra security. Burying rubble or laying pavers around the perimeter to prevent a fox from digging in is also recommended if you wish to make the run totally fox-proof.

If you are worried about foxes and other predators then also adding a small lockable chain and keeping the door to the run locked at all times when not in use is also recommended.

Is the large white cover included with my purchase?

Yes. We are currently running a special offer where the cover is included with your order.

Please note, that during bouts of high winds, the cover should be completely removed to prevent possible damage to it and the run.

Can I purchase another cover

We do keep extra stock of the walk-in run cover. If you would like to add a 2nd cover or replace the one you have simply contact us and let us know and we can send you ordering details.

Caring For Your Run

As with most outdoor products the lifespan of your run can be dramatically prolonged just by taking a few simple steps. Click here for our product care guidelines.

Positioning Your Run

If you intend to place your run in your garden then please be aware that a soft or uneven surface can make it easier for foxes and other preditors to gain entry by digging. Some rabbits and other pets may also be able to burrow under and escape, so caution is advised.

The Wood We Use

The majority of the wood we use in this product is a highly durable, kiln-dried white pine which is noted for its resistance to decay and rot. Most rabbit hutches and runs made in the U.K use this type of wood. But unlike many other manufacturers, we use more of it.

You'll find that the framework is thicker and the majority of the hutch uses a solid tongue and groove construction (and less cheap plywood). This is why our hutches tend to be sturdier, heavier and last longer than many of the cheaper options out there.

Dangerous Animals

We would like to think that our hutches and runs are made to a higher standard than most other suppliers in its price range. While we have purposely used thicker, sturdier wood, wire and locks with the aim to make it as safe and secure as possible for your pets we cannot absolutely guarantee that foxes and other animals (dogs, badgers, stoats, cats) won’t try and target them.

Foxes are by far the biggest threat that your pet will face so if you are going to keep your rabbits or guinea pigs outside then we also urge you to take these added precautions especially if you know you have foxes in your area. (This advice also applies to other animals that may pose a threat.)

Unwanted Chewing

Unfortunately, there is always the possibility that some rabbits and other rodents may chew parts of their hutch or run. This is out of our control and the onus really is on you to take the necessary precautions straight away to prevent or lessen the chance of them chewing parts of their hutch.

Our wooden hutches and runs, like the majority of wooden hutch sold in the U.K, are not chew proof and we can't be held liable for any damage caused to or by your pet chewing or gnawing the product. Prolonged chewing can also weaken your hutch and decrease the protection they offer against foxes.

We recommend trying out our new Anti Chew Strips and taking a close look at all the steps you can take to stop or at least lessen the chances of your rabbit chewing things they shouldn't.
